ONEWORD is a social display of crowd moods and feelings during an event: people send SMS to a special number and the messages are then displayed with a tree-like generative graphic software. As soon as a new message arrives a new branch blossoms. As the event unfolds layers of texts gradually build up a flowing foliage of collective memory. Vimeo / ONEWORD - BMW Night Is One - 2006

Pleasure Gardens
Went along to the new Wolverhampton Art Gallery today, the fresh gallery space is impressive and really well designed. At the center of the redesign is the triangle Pop Art gallery, with lots of important British popart. There’s lots of interactive stuff running on sexy iMacs, here’s something I “created” earlier, the gallery even published it to flickr somewhere (when I...

Joost
Just been playing with the new Joost beta, it’s really fast which was suprising because my MacBook hasn’t got great graphical power. The interface is very smooth which is great considering it’s still a beta (product) Joost is a game changer because: - It’s a hybrid of on-demand and tradtional TV. It follows the same SKy/EPG/channels paradigm which is easy to understand...

dreamweaver 8 and insert record
say you have a database with three rows, id, name and price. Your use Dreamweaver and it’s fancy Insert Record function, which builds you a nice working form. Well if you’ve accidently ticked “NOT Null” in phpMyAdmin and keep forgetting to fill out say price when testing. Dreamweaver will give you no feedback that this is the problem. Infact it just generates a server 500...

redoing
Just working on this resturant website, it’s actually the third time I’ve started the assignment, first was quite rubbish, second was good but got lost in Dali and hopefully the third I will hand in. Because I’m doing this for the third time now it’s really progressing quite quickly. Just finished off the sexy Photoshop comp and now I’m into Dreamweaver land,...

death to Dalí
Today my MacBook hardrive croaked. I’ve lost a lot of stuff don’t remember I having, but was obviously useful some some reason or another. I’m in the process of getting things back, Mail, Passwords, Files etc and most importantly music. It’s not really the mp3s that I miss, more of the stuff in my library, who else would have an obscure Nathan Fake remix, blended into...
