When you sign up for a 14 day free trial of LOVEFiLM you might expect it to last the full 14 days, however LOVEFiLM will charge you 5 days before the free trial ends. This is because the disks need to be “sent back and processed”.

If like me, you decide to cancel on the 14th free day, you will still be charged a full month for which you will never use. Don’t expect to get a refund either, apparently this was clearly marked in the terms and conditions “which you can read by following a link at bottom of each page.” If had known I was doing a 9 day free trial I would have sent the discs back early, it’s this trickery and lack of transparency which is irritating.

I would arge that billing should take place 5 days after I’ve pressed the “cancel my account button”, I think that’s a fair amount of time to post and process a single disc and would give me a full 14 days of free trial.
