"They indicate how video joins the list of trades to be mushed together in the contemporary transdisciplinary studio, and how perhaps only video, at this point, can effectively demonstrate interaction, behaviour, narrative and system. It is an advert, sure, but also documentation, as well as an input into the design process. I half-suspect a good chunk of BERG’s influence is derived from these short films. In this sense they are a content company. It may be too grand at this point in their relatively short life to see a meaningful resemblance to Archigram, Superstudio, Archizoom or early Koolhaas or Tschumi, but this is partly design as fiction, fiction as design."
