I was kinda excited about Flock, admittly the early versions were pretty unstable and didn’t deliver on any of the social promise.

The new site, looks, frankly hideious, what’s with some guy with grey hair telling me he goes travelling? T

hen we get to the new UI. Everything is grey, not even a metally grey, or a rock grey but just a bland boring windows grey. You’ve also got the pleasure of Flock Blue on grey (great colour scheme!), then there’s the plethora of Icons, links and generally crap floating around on the toolbars. The demo movies we see flock running on Windows XP, with what’s that oh with Aqua controls. Flock looks more and more like a really old version of Netscape, yuk.

I want to like this browser, I want to have a contacts list in my browser, I want to have drag and drop uploading to Flickr but frankly Flock looks like crap. Let’s hope The Coop can do better.
