I now have nearly 5 years of listening history on last.fm (or audioscrobbler as it was then)

It’s quite insane that I can pick a date over the past five years and find out what I was listening to. What’s even more insane is that in another couple of years I’ll be able to overlay my Facebook and flickr history with this. I can see a scenario where i can explore cause and effect between services.

A Facebook party invite -> photos with friends -> new friend request -> new music recommendation etc

In essenence we’ll be able to track our life history via updates, no need for memories anymore we can just seek back though the narrative of our life using the footprint we left in the network.
